By According to new reports, the iPad Apple 2024 line can include a large increase in the appearance of the Samsung OLED display, carrying the display of devices equivalent to smaller iPhones.
Rumors have spun for years that Apple works on iPad OLED. OLED screen offers a much better experience than LCD because every pixel has its own illumination instead of relying on backlight. According to a report by ELEC, Apple and Samsung worked to bring the OLED display to the iPad line 2024.
The two companies had previously collaborated on the 10.86-inch OLED screen for the iPad last year, but the effort was stopped in the third quarter. At that time, Samsung could not meet several Apple technical requirements with a decent price point. In particular, Apple “wants a panel with a two-stack tandem structure – where it has two layers of emissions – instead of conventional single stack structures.”
Evidently, the two companies still negotiate, with Samsung trying to secure a large enough order to bring the scale of the economy to be borne. With sufficient volume, electronic producers hope to avoid financial factors that handle last year’s agreement.
If both companies reach an agreement, Elec predicts Samsung will send OLEDs in 2023, in time for Apple to include them in the 2024 model.
